When Cornwall meets West Africa magical things can happen, bursts to vibrant colour, zingy foods and inspiration to mix cultures in the most beautiful way.

After meeting "the old fashioned way" on a night out, having a dance and exchanging number, after the first date the rest was history for Jenny and Emiko. Emiko embraced his inner romantic by taking Jenny out for a magical meal in London then proposing on a bridge in moonlight over the River Thames...this makes us a bit jealous how beautiful it all sounds.

Holding their big day in Polhawn Fort in Cornwall they chose to channel their history and bring both Cornwall and West Africa together. Their theme was Gold, Cerise Pink and Chartreuse Green. Lots of West African inspired colour, patterns and details hanging from everywhere that made the whole venue come to life with such a vibrant atmosphere, al beautifully documented by Benjamin Toms Photography. Flowing their theme effortlessly into their menu of  West African inspired rice dishes, chicken curry, spiced citrus fish, mango salad, our mouths are watering.

We love to ask what favourite moments of the day was for our bride and grooms and this answer was just so beautiful we had to share..."Seeing our friends and family having so much fun and joining two different cultures together was amazing, loved the party in the evening and the first moment I caught sight of the fort as decorated by Elle. The photo booth was so much fun and I love having all the pictures displayed at home as a memento of our day. Going down onto the freezing cold, but bright and beautiful beach to have some bride and groom photos taken was a lovely moment alone as newlyweds."

How did Inspire Hire help with your wedding? "Working with Elle was amazing as she completely understood my vision for the day and had all the props and decor to make my ideas a reality, also bringing her own creative talents and ideas to the table. I felt so at ease and confident all along in the knowledge that Inspire Hire have so much experience and knew exactly what they were doing. Elle is such a professional and worked tirelessly on the day to ensure everything looked amazing and was ready in plenty of time. With a "DIY' wedding venue such as Polhawn Fort, I knew I couldn't have done it on my own and it was so nice to leave it in the capable hands of Inspire Hire so I could enjoy getting ready with my mum, sister and bridesmaids."

BIG congraulations to Jenny and Emiko on their beautiful wedding and we wish you all the happiness in the world!
